Watch two videos

The DVDs are part of the Discovery Video series. They are on top of the DVD player next to my computer. Each are about 10 minutes. There should be more detailed instructions on the DVD player and projector in the orange substitute folder.
– Earthquake video on DVD-2
– Volcanoes video on DVD-6

Book Work – Earthquake Safety or Volcanic Eruptions

Some students will already have this done, but many more will need to finish it and reminders to do it.
– Answer in complete sentences
– Due WED

Earthquake vs. Volcano PART II.

– Should already have a lab outline in composition book from Monday
– Work in teams and write down specific Question, Hypothesis, Variables, and Materials into comp. books.
– If done relatively quietly, students may have Smarties (should be on or near my desk in the back of the room)
– Students will not get to build or perform the lab until the INPUT setup is done
– Students can get started on procedures if time allows. Use the procedures handout on the counter from last week as a template to help.

Alternative Lesson Plan

A) Students can complete comp. book quietly and alone OR B) class can watch one of the Planet Earth DVD movies which should be near the DVD player.
